Hello Phantom Users-

We are in the process of implementing a Java automation function set for Phantom. As with Windows based controls, the Java functions will interact directly with the Java controls, with the same general syntax as the Windows couterparts.

We'd like to know what features and functions you would like to see in the Java automation function package! Reply to this thread to let us know so the new package will be as useful as possible.

Thanks!

I would like to see Phantom be able to select specifice Swing components such as JTextBox, JButton, JMenu, JComboBox, and JTable. Right now it looks like it only sees heavy weight components such as Canvas. Is there any way, as of now, of being able to select specific components on a Java form?

Hello-

We actually have a beta version of a Phantom package that supports Java. This package allows for selection and interaction with Swing components. As of now, there is no window declarations recorder for Java applications, but the package comes with a function to 'build' the Java window variable.

If you are interested in using this beta package, please send an e-mail to support@phantomtest.com and the latest package will be sent to you. It is currently quite stable, but lacks full documentation (rudimentary documentation will be provided in the e-mail).

I hope this helps, and thanks for your interest in Phantom!
