IMPORTANT **

Use this beta version at your own risk! This beta is intended
for users already familiar with the Phantom scripting language.
New functions and function syntaxes are subject to change. Please
read the readme.txt file included in the installation.

This beta is DOS based, and will not work as an integrated part
of PTD or Sidekick. Do not install it over existing versions of
Phantom, Phantom Sidekick, or PTD. PTD and Sidekick will support
v2.0 when the final version is released.

Phantom v2.0
is a complete rebuild of the Phantom engine. The overall
syntax is much more forgiving and the engine is more robust.
Below is a list of many of the key new features:

Time Console |
Phantom
can be run as a console application, accepting real
time commands, as well as traditional script commands.
This can be useful for trying out new script commands. |
| Variable
Arrays |
Variables
can now be stored as multi-dimensional arrays. |
| Global
Variables |
Global
Variables are now supported. All variables are global
unless declared inside a function body. |
| In-line
function declarations |
Functions
can now be declared inside a script, instead of being
required to be in a separate file. |
| Scripts
can be run from within scripts |
Scripts
in another file can now be run inside a script by
using the 'include' keyword. |
| Bitmap
Capture |
Window
bitmap capturing is built-in. |
| New
Data Types |
New
data types are available, such as bitmap, and more data
types are planned. |

Functions |
New
functions are available, both specifically for windows
automation and otherwise. Many more functions will also
be added prior to the final release. |
| Debug
Console |
In
the BETA version, there is a debug console for debugging
Phantom scripts. |

Compatible |
Phantom
v2.0 is designed to be backwards compatible. |
